摘要：We study innovation adoption as social learning featuring payoff externalities: adoption not only affects payoff for the adopters but also for non-adopters. We analyze the social optimal and equilibrium adoption paths when payoff externality increases and decreases in the number of adopters and compare the policies to induce efficient adoption in both cases. If the payoff externality is positive, we isolate the information effect and payoff externality effect and shows a simple policy to improve equilibrium focusing on externality; if the payoff externality is decreasing, coordination towards the slowest equilibrium improves social welfare.

主講人簡介：

陳琬祎，廈門大學王亞南經濟研究院助理教授。美國威斯康星大學經濟學博士。研究興趣為博弈論、信息經濟學等；論文發表在國際頂尖學術期刊 Journal of Economic Theory, 主持國際自然科學青年基金。
